Situated in Bhadraj on the western part of Mussoorie, the Bhadraj Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna’s brother Lord Bal Bhadra or Balram. Besides its religious significance, the temple is best known for the long 11 km trek that it takes to reach it. Known as the Milkman’s Trail, it starts from Cloud's End in Dehradun and offers splendid views of the surroundings. Bhadraj Temple is perched on a hill top and overlooks the magnificent Doon Valley, Jaunsar Bawar and the Chakrata ranges. It is believed that by praying here, people are granted the wishes they most desire, just like at the Badrinath Temple. Many offer milk, ghee and butter to the idol of Balram which is only purified with milk. One of the most beautiful locations in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, Dalai Hills is situated above the Lal Bahadur Academy and is quite close to Happy Valley. It is synonymous with utter tranquillity as well as with arresting views of the mighty Himalayas and the green valleys. The Dalai Hills overlook the beautiful Garhwal ranges and are known for the numerous Tibetan prayer flags and for the statue of Lord Buddha. There is also a Buddhist temple here. The Kellogg Memorial Church is a Presbyterian church that is located close to the Kasmanda Palace in the small army cantonment of Landour in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
