West side park is a century old area elevated on the east side skiing hill of the city sprawled over 31.36 acres. Housing a community centre and performing stage, the park has been a host to concerts of Whitney Houston and Dionne Warwick. Presently, it is famous among the natives, track teams and sport players for its impressive track and basketball courts.
A part of the Van Houten Library at New Jersey Institute of Technology, Weston Museum curates inventions and items developed by Edward Weston. This museum in Newark hosts his collection of instruments along with the equipment he used to use in the laboratory. To study his thought process and innovations, his rare book collection is also available at the Museum.
