The farm, also known as New Zealand farm, is a hub of organic countryside activities in the pristine landscape of Ambewela hill station. The lush green fields, rugged mountains, and the bright blue sky gives Ambewela the title of 'Little New Zealand'. Bluefield Tea Gardens
Bluefield Tea Gardens, located at 6250 ft, in the hilly, small and look-alike ‘English’ town of Ramboda, is scenically mesmerising and feels fresh. Built in 1921, the Bluefield Tea factory produces 20 Kilos of tea leaves on average. This tea garden is also ‘recognised by tea connoisseurs’ as it is also home to the famous Sri Lankan Ceylon tea. Pertaining to the existing tea culture, over 300 workfers are employed in the entire area of this garden.

Bomburu Ella Falls
Bomburu Ella falls, also referred to as Perawella Falls, is considered to be the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka; which streams collected water of about 10 small waterfalls from the height of 2000 meters above the sea level.
Located about 14 kilometers from the main city of Nuwara Eliya, one can expect to hike a bit through the forest but pretty scenic views along the way do contribute significantly in making the time go faster. Galway's Land National Park
Located at a distance of 3km from the Nuwara Eliya, The Galway's Land National Park is one of the few well-known national parks in the city, even if it is one of the smallest ones. The park consists of many exotic birds and animals, coexisting to form biodiversity. The park opens up early in the morning to aid birdwatchers.
It is a 57-hectare park that has more than 30 species of birds, many other local animal species, and many different plant species. The park was declared as a National Park in the year 2006, but it was established, as a wildlife sanctuary, long back in 1938. Gregory Lake
Lake Gregory is a local reservoir situated in the city of Nuwara Eliya. It is a popular place for tourists to visit and enjoy some recreational activities. The lake was named after Sir William Gregory, in 1873, during the British era. Tourists can roam around the lake with the help of boats available for hire. This lake acts as the perfect picnic spot and tourists can also explore the lake by hiring bicycles. The best time to visit this lake is during April.

Hakgala Botanical Gardens
The Hakgala Botanical Garden is the second largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka. It is a part of the Hakgala Strict Nature Reserve and was established in 1861. It has a wide variety of plants and some exotic animal species with the entire garden divided into different sections, dedicated to different plant species, like ferns, cacti, orchids, etc. It is situated on the Badulla Highway and is about 5 kilometres away from the city of Nuwara Eliya. It is said that the Hakgala Gardens was in fact, 'Ashok Vatika'', from the Hindu epic 'The Ramayana''. Since these gardens are on an elevated ground, the climate mostly ranges from cool to moderately hot.
The Hakgala Botanical Garden is the second largest, and one of the few famous botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. It was established in 1861 by Dr G.H.K. Thwaites, for experimenting with the growth of Cinchona. The garden has different sections, where each part hosts a particular plant species. The garden forms brilliant biodiversity, where exotic birds and animals coexist with the rare plants grown there. The average temperature of the garden ranges from 16°C to 30°C, making it cold to moderately hot throughout the year. The Hakgala Botanical Garden is on the Peradeniya-Badulla-Chenkaladi Highway, near the famous Seetha Amman Temple. It has a lot of historical significance since the Hindus believe that this was where King Ravana had his famous pleasure garden - The Ashok Vatika. The garden takes about two hours to explore and provides the facility of moving around in a golf cart. It has various exotic plant species, and some rare wildlife, hence creating beautiful biodiversity within itself. It is one of the many places in Sri Lanka, that is closely associated with the Ramayana. So whether you want to get a taste of the Hindu culture, or you want to experience being one with nature, the Hakgala Gardens are a must-visit.

Kirigalpotta
With a height of 2388 m, Kirigalpotta is the second largest peak which is accessible to visitors. The 7-km hiking trail that passes by the Horton Plains National Park also leads to the mountain top. The mountain peak is located in Nuwara Eliya.
Kolapathana Falls
With water streaming from Piduruthalagala forest reserve and Kodiaragala mountain overshadowing it, Kolapathana Waterfall cascades down multiple steps at the height of about 50 meters. This beautiful waterfall is located near Mandaram Nuwara town in Nuwara Eliya and offers some breathtaking views that ensure some pretty great pictures.
Bathing is prohibited here as it is said to be the source of freshwater for the nearby town but visitors can instead visit Purahangala bathing spot located halfway down the trail to have some fun time in the water.

Proved to be the fourth tallest mountain in Sri Lanka, Kudahagala Mountain, also referred to as Agrabopat Hills, is said to be elevated at a height of 2320 meters (7,612 feet).
