Buxa Duar Trek
The Buxa Duar Trek, cradled in the Jalpaiguri District of West Bengal, offers an opportunity to peek into the mysteries of the wild jungles of the Buxa Tiger Reserve. It is a densely forested reserve boasting of being the only tiger reserve in the entire Kanchenjunga circuit.
Today, it offers its visitors a chance to observe the animals in their natural habitat. Buxa Range provides with ample number of opportunities to trek, a short 5km walk beginning from Santlabari near Sealdah. A trek of an hour from this quaint little village takes you to Buxa Duar and Buxa Tiger reserve. Jayanti Forest located 13 kms from Buxa Duar is one of the most popular treks in the area. Apart from being enriched with diverse variety of flora and fauna, the trail is also adorned with stalactite cave here called Mahakal housing a Shivalinga. The Buxa Duar Fort is a living shadow of the past of this region, which once served as the prison during the time of the East India Company. The Buxa range is also a home to plethora of birds’ varieties serving as a paradise for bird lovers. Trans-Himalayan migratory goosander, the beautiful ibis bill, fork-tails, red-stars, wagtails and migratory birds such as common teal, gargani teal, large whistling teal and white-eyed pochard are some among many. Mendabari Fort
Located on the bank of river Baniya, Mendabari fort, also known as Nalraja garh is an ancient fort which dates back to the 5th century. The remains of the fort interest archaeology and history enthusiasts while the location and historic stories around the fort fascinate the travellers.
Murti river
9km away from the main township of Jalpaiguri, Murti river is near Murti. In the middle of thick forest, one can often spot wild animals like Elephants, Rhinos, Deer etcetera who come down to the river bank to satisfy their thirst.

Pai Canyon
One of Thailand’s most picturesque and thrilling sites, the Pai Canyon merits a special visit. Located in northern Thailand, it is also known as Kong Lan. The gorgeous views and splendid surrounding scenery as one hikes along the narrow trails of the canyon is both warmly exciting and chillingly scary.
Pai Canyon is best known for hiking and catching the mesmerizing sights of a sunset. The canyon is a carved assortment with ledges and slabs jutting out in different directions. Some of the ledges are extremely narrow, some moderately wide. However, they rise above the trees with an approximate 30m cliff drop on either side. Nonetheless, the views from the Pai Canyon are one of the best in Thailand.

Trekking in Pai
Pai is surrounded by endless mountains offering many options for trekking and hiking. There are many forests and villages where many trek operators can take you to. While trekking alone here can be fun, it is advisable to go through a trek operator. Trekking to the Mae Yen waterfall is the best and most beautiful adventure.
WWII Memorial Bridge
WWII Memorial Bridge was built in 1942 during World War II by the Japanese to transport weapons and other war provisions to Burma. It has become an interesting tourist attraction in Pai. The Japanese were said to force POWs to construct this bridge. It has a strong steel frame, but the floor is wooden you need to be a little careful while walking.
