Located near the banks of the Musi River, very close to the South Sumatran capital Palembang, Sriwijaya Kingdom Archaeological Park is a site in South Sumatra, Indonesia, where remains of an ancient habitation area have been excavated. The name is derived from a 9th-century settlement of the Sriwijaya Empire that reigned over the same. Among the many artefacts unearthed are Buddhist statues, beads and pottery items, China clay pots and ceramics and more.
