Located in the lap of Shivalik Range, Parwanoo experiences amazing weather which is suitable for the production of apples and peaches. Jams, pickles, jellies and other fruit made products are specialty of this area. The town also offers several panoramic views that make this place an ideal spot for relaxing and picnic.

Gorkha Fort situated on a small hill Subathu is 16 km away from Parwanoo. Believed to be founded by the Gurkha Army Chief Amar Singh Thapa to fight against British, the fort today exhibits strength even through its ruins. With a spectacular view of dense forest all around, travellers can also visit the Gurkha Museum to witness the past of the area with exhibits dating back to year 1815.

Gurudwara Nada Sahib, Panchkula

A religious place for Sikhs, Gurudwara Nada Sahib is located in Panchkula district almost 22km from Parwanoo. A holy place with significant past, this Gurudwara houses a large courtyard as well as accommodation for pilgrims. It is believed that Guru Gobind Singh stayed here for a while. Packed with devotees on daily basis, the number of pilgrims increase many fold on the full moon day.

A famous tourist spot for Hindus, Kali Mata Temple is an ancient temple situated only 2 km from Parwanoo. Dedicated to Goddess kali, the temple is visited by large number of pilgrims during Navratri. According to the legend, the site of temple was once visited by the Pandavas during their exile.

Being a small town, Parwanoo do not offers any great place to shop. But you may find its famous fruit based products such as freshly made pickles, jams and marmalades a delight to your taste buds. Pickles made of meat are also special to this area.

An ancient Hindu temple located in Parwanoo in a small village Bhairo ka Ser is a major attraction of the town. The interesting fact about this temple is that it was buried in the earth until it was excavated in year 1988. Since then, the temple attracts tourists in large number.
