The harvest season runs from February to July, and pepper farms across the island allow visitors to enter and explore them. Phu Quoc Countryside is a farm located in a rural part of the island. Visitors can take a tour of the farm and learn of the unconventional agricultural methods it employs to enhance its produce. There are cooking classes and a beer brewery tour as well. The farm is run by Jenny Pham and her family, and they offer a relaxing experience away from the rest of the island. There also is a farm shop right on the site.

Built by the French in 1950, the Phu Quoc Prison could hold up to 40,000 people. The prison was recognised as a monument in 1983 and has been restored, and exhibits displaying original artefacts and depictions of the brutal tortures the prison had seen. In addition, the prison serves as a reminder of the plight of patriots during Vietnam’s colonial occupation and during the Vietnam War.

Rory's Beach Club

Rory’s Beach Club is located in an alley close to the sea and is a great place to relax in the afternoons or spend a romantic evening watching the sunset over the sea. There’s an upstairs seating area and one right on the beach. The bar serves a variety of food and drinks, and the club often hosts beach parties at night. Be sure not to miss out on their iconic fish and chips, which is a crowd favourite.

Sao Beach is located 25 kilometres from the capital of Phu Quoc, on the southeastern part of the island. The beach sits against a tropical jungle backdrop, with giant trees lining the shore. The water is great for swimming, kayaking and kite surfing, while the beach is an excellent spot for sunbathing. The island of Phu Quoc is an excellent place for snorkelling and scuba diving. The warm, shallow waters are clear and calm, with rich and varied coral life on the seabed, and diving is the best way to explore life underwater around the island. Divers could come across colourful reef fish, nudibranchs, moray eels, stingrays, pufferfish, cuttlefish and octopus underwater. Diving sites are shallow, ranging between 10 to 12 metres deep. While the island's northern part is sheltered, the south offers many more diving sites. However, the south is more prone to sudden changes in conditions, and divers must be wary. Located at the centre of Phu Quoc, Da Ban Spring is a 30-minute car ride away from the town of Duong Dong. The stream originates from the Ham Ninh mountain range, and the area is a great site for picnics, barbecues and hikes. The flat stone plates layering on top of each other upstream make an interesting sight to watch, and the stream flows down waterfalls and forms pools while it flows.
