Lying about 17 kilometres south of Port Dickson right before Cape Rachado, Blue Lagoon is a compact yet quite popular beach in the area. Locally referred to as Tanjung Biru, the beach is surrounded by a dense cover of hills and vegetation which makes the beach stand apart.

Cape Rachado
Cape Rachado is a popular forest reserve in Port Dickson and has attracted bird watchers from all over the country. It is visited by more than 300,000 migratory birds and is well known for its iconic Cape Rachado Lighthouse. The 80-hectare Cape Rachado Forest Reserve is popular for its lighthouse, beaches and annually migrating birds. Also known as Tanjung Tuan Forest Reserve, it is located in the Alor Gajah area. Historically, this place is well-remembered for the naval tussle of 1606 between the supremely powerful Dutch and the Portuguese. The main highlight of Cape Rachado is the Tanjung Tuan lighthouse (Malaysia's oldest) reached through a 20-minute uphill hike through the forest reserve.
Though the lighthouse isn't open to the public, you can walk around and admire the mesmerising view which is visible up to Sumatra (38km away) on a clear day. Tanjung Tuan is visited by around 300000 migratory birds every year while the sea-turtles use the site for egg-laying. Blue Lagoon and Pantai Permai are two of the most alluring coastal spots sitting at the base of Cape Rachado. Replete with amusements like swimming, boating and water skiing, Blue Lagoon gives a spectacular view of the blue sea and the lush greenery around.

Lukut Fort and Museum
Lukut Fort and Museum is a historical recreational site situated in Port Dickson. The fort built in 1847 by Raja Jumaat is now in ruins. Its antiquities are displayed in the Lukut Museum which was built in 1999.
Located 6 kilometres from Port Dickson, Lukut Fort and Museum is now a recreational historical site with a park and gazebos maintained by the government. Free entrance gives more reason to visit this intriguing site!

Port Dickson Army Museum
Set in two old army buildings, the Port Dickson Army Museum is entirely dedicated to Malaysian army artefacts. Also known as Muzium Tentera Darat, it houses 9 galleries along with outdoor exhibits tracing the army from the 16th century Melaka Sultanate to the British era.
One very interesting exhibit is the CPM (Communist Party of Malaya Tunnel) Tunnel which is a recreated underground tunnel network similar to the one used by the bandits during the Emergency. The bandits used to conduct all their activities in the tunnel. There's an interesting collection of various military aircraft and helicopters, armoured vehicles, field guns, artillery pieces and a steam locomotive (Alor Gajah) on display at the Army Museum. Another gallery focuses on the modern army and its UN peacekeeping missions. The museum has a cafe, a souvenir shop, toilets and suraos as well.
