Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple
A divine place of worship devoted to Lord Ganapati, Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati temple is extremely famous for its religious festivities and is located in Pune, Maharashtra. The temple receives a considerable crowd of devotees every day who come to attend the daily pooja, abhisheka and the Arti of Lord Ganesh. The idol of Lord Ganapati is 2.2 meters high and 1 meter wide and is adorned with almost 40 kilos of gold. The temple receives offerings of gold and money from Lord Ganapati’s devotees every day which goes into the temple’s trust. The temple is open daily from 6 am to 11 pm.
The inception of the temple took place over 125 years ago by Shri Dagdusheth Halwai (sweet maker) and his wife, Lakshmibai. The temple is splendidly decorated with colourful lights during the Ganesh festival and attracts both locals and tourists who come to witness the marvellous celebrations. Ohel David Synagogue
Situated on the Moledina Road in Pune, David Synagogue also known as the Ohel David Synagogue was constructed between 1863 to 1867 by David Sassoon. Known to be the biggest synagogue in all of Asia. The iconic red brick building stands tall in the heart of the city and caters to the small Jewish congregation. The non- Jewish visitors, however, has to take an appointment to visit the synagogue. Locally known as Lal Deval (Red Walls), the synagogue boasts of an English Gothic style architecture which was designed by Henry Stain Clair Wilkins. Greatly resembling the structure of a church, the monument also has a 90 foot high obelisk that has a majestic clock hung to it, which was especially brought from London for the same.
A perfect example of religious sanctity and architectural beauty, the synagogue is one of the most popular monuments of the city. It also hold regular prayers and holiday services which are conducted by congregational laymen, visiting Rabbi or a Hazzan (reader). This Hazzan is usually called from Mumbai to conduct prayers. The synagogue is synonymous with the Jewish identity of town and is both a popular religious as well as as tourist spot of Pune.

Dehu
Dehu Gatha temple is one of the largest temples and is located near Pune. At the entrance of the temple lies the statue of Sant Tukaram Maharaj. What attracts people the most are the carvings of all Gathas ie legends/storis of Sant Tukaram on the walls of the temple which are very easy to read. It is said that one must read at least 3 Gathas on visiting the temple. The temple is located on Indrayani River's bank. Also, there is a place on the river where these Gathas floats which should not be missed out.
Dehu is a spiritual place wherein Saint Tukaram was born. It is a place of the pilgrims. The temple of Saint Tukaram was built in Dehu in 1723. It is said that the home where he used to reside is still in existence. One of the main attractions of Dehu is palakhi (Palanquin) procession in the Hindu month of ashadh. Every year during this procession, numerous people participate and remember and sing the Gathas of Saint Tukaram. The place is highly revered for the followers of Saint Tukaram. A garden has also been dedicated to Tukaram's wife, and rock has been built to commemorate his 13 days fast.

Devkund Waterfalls
Located in Bhira, Raigad district, Maharashtra, Devkund Waterfalls are a popular tourist attraction and a beautiful picnic spot. The Devkund waterfalls in fact lie at the confluence of three waterfalls and it is believed that they originate from the river Kundalika. Enveloped by a forest of the same name, 'Devkund', you can reach the peak by taking a three-hour long trek from the base village of Bhira. The places that fall on the way to the waterfalls are equally beautiful and the experience of the trek is really worth your time and effort. You can relish dipping into the water that flows downstream and collects at the bottom of the waterfall.
Devkund Waterfalls Trek
After reaching the base village- Bhira, you would have to trek for approximately 3- 4 km. The trek includes walking along the Bhira dam, covering a portion of the dense forest range. You will come across a small water stream and open fields en route your trek. The difficulty grade of the trek is medium. The forest trail is muddy, rocky, but plain in major portions. It would be well-advised to travel with a guide or a local, who is well-versed with the forests of Devkund. The trail starts from Bhira, where you can see several boards and signs, placed for directions. The initial half hour of the trek, you will walk along the Bhira dam reservoir. Camping is an option if you want to spend some time here. For the nest 45-50 minutes, you will have to walk and then cross two streams. There is then, a slight climb which opens into a rocky patch. You have to walk for ten minutes from the opening of the rocky patch. You can spot small shops, selling light snacks and lemon juice etc. When the rocky patch ends, you will have reached your destination. The Bhira dam is also known as the Tata Power dam. This dam is one of the most powerful hydroelectric projects of the country. It also makes for an amazing picnic spot.

Diamond Water Park
Diamond Water Park is a theme park located in Pune. It is a perfect attraction for recreational purposes where friends and families can head to hang out over the weekend and that too within city limits. People mostly visit the park during the summer season to escape the summer heat. Diamond Park also hosts corporate events, private parties, functions, school picnics and college outings. Bookings can be made in advance.
The theme park has several water rides and slides that visitors can enjoy at the water park. There are provisions for lockers, food, safety and entertainment too. The only drawback is that the rides are closed every day between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. They follow a strict dress code - people are supposed to wear swimsuits when entering the water. Hadsar Trek
Hadsar is a hill fort in the state of Maharashtra. It is situated at an elevation of 3200 feet from the ground in the district of Pune. Within the fort there are massive tunnel like entrances built in the Mughal style.
There are neat, rock-cut steps which lead up to these twin gates. Besides, there are cisterns of water and water tanks within the sparse fortifications. There is a Shiva temple atop the fort and a pond facing it. The citadel also has vast underground chambers which were used probably as storerooms.
