Jagadishwar Temple
The main deity of the temple is Shri Jagadishwara. Shivaji who was an ardent follower of the Hindu religion was known to visit the temple daily. The temple was built in the royal palace and it's dome represents the Moghul architecture of that time.
Madhe Ghat
Situated at 62 kms from Pune, in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, Madhe Ghat Waterfalls is a beautiful waterfalls located amidst verdant green vegetation, mighty hills and meandering rivers. On some days, you can also spot the Raigad Fort from here.
Raigad Fort
Soaring to a height of around 820 metres, the captivating Raigad Fort is perched on the Sahyadri mountain range in Mahad, Maharashtra. The majestic fort is accessible only from one side through a pathway which has about 1737 steps as deep valleys surround the other three sides. Alternatively, one can take the ropeway to reach the fort top in 4 minutes.
The fort is of great pride for the Marathas and is a reminder of the bravery and audacity. The Raigad fort is not just a tourist spot; it is a sacred place of pilgrimage which holds the imprints of the grand vision of Hindavi Swarajya as cherished by Chhatrapati Shivaji. While most of its parts are in ruins now, the fort still boasts of the brave history of Marathas.After capturing the Raigad Fort, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj renovated and named it as the capital of Maratha kingdom. The Britishers named it as the Gibraltar of the East as this well-fortified structure atop a hill had defied various attackers. It has several beguiling gates Nagarkhana Darwaja, Mena Darwaja, Maha Darwaja and Palkhi Darwaja. There was also a statue of Shivaji erected in front of the ruins of the main market avenue that eventually leads to his own Samadhi and that of his beloved dog.

Raj Bhavan
The king of Marathas, Shivaji administered his kingdom at the Raj Bhavan. The bhavan has a brilliant architecture marked by that time. It is constructed on a dual platform and has wooden columns on all four sides. Some other famous attractions include two huge water tanks where the members of royal families took a bath. The architecture of the Bhavan comprises of a modern toilet as well as a well-maintained drainage system. The Bhavan also consists of the major life events from the life of Shivaji.
The fort requires one to climb 1450 steps which take nearly 3 and half hours. One can experience the clouds and the rustling sound of the wind from the top of the fort. With the place becoming so much accessible, there is not much problem left with visiting the area. One can also find guides who can easily guide the tourists through the way of the fort. There is a ropeway as well which helps one land on the top of the fort nearby Mena Darwaja. This was the entrance reserved for the queens and all the other royal ladies.
