Acropolis of Lindos

The Acropolis of Lindos is an ancient citadel of ruins situated on a 116-meter cliff overlooking the Aegean sea. Agathi beach is one of the best beaches in Rhodes, with a long stretch of fine golden sand and turquoise water. It has shallow water, which makes it ideal for swimming. Anthony Quinn Bay

Located adjacent to the serene Ladiko beach, Paralia Antoni Kouin or Anthony Quinn Bay is an inlet of stunning crystal blue water. This popular cove, with its famous turquoise water, ideal for swimming and sunbathing, is situated on the eastern side of Rhodes island. This beach offers scuba diving, snorkelling, and other water sports options for those looking for a thrill. This small beach is located only a few minutes away from Faliraki. As the seabed here is rocky, tourists are advised to sport sea shoes to go in and out of the water. It has a free parking space at a walk of 2-3 minutes. The beach’s name was changed from its original name, ‘Vagies’ after the 60s famous movie, ‘The guns of navarone’ featuring popular actor Anthony Quinn, was shot here. Quinn was incidentally so enchanted by this place that he tried to buy it to create a global centre of holiday for the who’s who of the film world. The Archaeological Museum of Rhodes is located in mediaeval Rhodes, right next to the popular Street of Knights. The museum is housed in a building that once was the hospital of the Knights of Saint John. Today, it exhibits various artefacts that were found in Ancient Ialyssos and Ancient Kamiros. It also houses the famous Head of Helios, which was featured in 2011 on the album cover of Floral Shoppe by Macintosh Plus.
