This is the ashram where The Beatles lived in 1968 and wrote dozens of songs and meditated. The ashram complex houses a former temple, library, kitchen, home of Maharishi Yogi and meditation huts. Most of the buildings are in decay but there are colourful graffiti on the walls. There is also a small gallery and a cafe. The Beatles Ashram was the training centre of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It was abandoned until 2015 when it was reopened to the tourists. The ashram is run by Rajaji Tiger Reserve which is located outside its boundary wall. Situated on the banks of the holy river Ganges, Triveni Ghat is the biggest ghat in Rishikesh. 'Maha Aarti' happens every evening at Triveni Ghat. Triveni Ghat plays an essential role in Hindu Mythology and is also mentioned in the epics Ramayan and Mahabharat.  The Triveni Ghat is also where the chattri of Lord Krishna was constructed.
