Patricia's Green In Hayes Valley

Patricia's Green is an active city park situated in Octavia Boulevard, amid Hayes street and Fell street, San Francisco, California. It features a public space, playground, picnic tables, and an occasionally changing art arena. This park is one of the most popular outdoor spots in Hayes Valley. Patricia's Green name is taken from the name of a local activist Patricia Walkup. In the 1990s, she founded the Hayes valley neighborhood association to clean up the area after the 1989 earthquake and rebuild it to a public park. Later, David Best, a native and renowned sculptor built a temple, which became a cherished centerpiece for the park. After ten years, the San Francisco Arts Commission commemorated this temple with a new and grand one.Two open lawns are there in this long, slender park. Both the lawns are bifurcated as circular plazas. One of them is the play area for kids, while the other has an open area, resting benches, and changing public art. Originally created in 1969 by Boise Cascade Corporation, Pine Mountain Lake is a spring-fed lake and a private housing community. Now maintained by PML Homeowner’s Association, the 110 feet deep lake is stretched over 210 acres with 6 miles of shoreline. The community is equipped with a golf course, Lake Lodge, tennis court, hiking and walking trails, equestrian centre, swimming pool, fishing spot, campgrounds, an airport, country club restaurant and lounge, and grocery and medical stores. The 6,382 yard Pine Mountain Lake Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course brilliantly designed by William F. Bell. The course opened in 1969 and organizes public play and tournaments, as well as offers golf lessons, club rentals, club storage, golf carts, and pull carts. Boat registration, launching, docking, boat rentals, water-ski sign-ups, fishing licenses, beach security and gas dock are all controlled from the Marina Store. The Pine Mountain Lake Green Belt Hiking Trail, a 1.5 mile loop, is in units 3 & 4 and the trailhead starts at Fisherman’s Cove on Rock Canyon Way in Unit 3. The swimming pool on the Mueller Drive provides swim lessons, aqua exercise classes, ping pong, pool socials, snack bar and pool store. Nearby is the “The Grill” - the famous country club restaurant which also specializes in organising parties, comedy nights, musical nights and dance nights. Pioneer Park is a hilltop city park in San Francisco. In 1876, Pioneer Park was established in the celebration of the U.S. Centennial, at the top of Telegraph Hill, which was earlier a marine telegraph station. This 4.89 acres park offers beautiful views of the city and the Bay area. The park features a large statue of Christopher Columbus, Coit Tower, and resting benches, and Filbert and Greenwich steps. The Coit Tower is a famous destination for visitors. It stands tall amid the Pioneer Park. This lofty tower offers a 360° all-inclusive view of the bay, bridges, and the surrounding areas. Visitors can reach up to there, either via the footpaths on the eastern region of Telegraph hill, or the roadway of Telegraph hill. There's a charge for riding the elevator up to the top of the tower. It costs around $ 4.50, and you may have to wait up to forty minutes. The elevator operator will give you a short history of the Coit Tower on the way to the top. On reaching the tower top, you can see the panoramic city view through the Plexiglas windows.
