SS Jeremiah O'Brien

The O’Brien is known as one of the luckiest ships and has survived multiple voyages through D-Day landings, submarine attacks, and dangerous seas. It is one of the last two remaining fully functional Liberty ships of the hundreds made and launched during World War II. The living museum transports its visitors back seventy years to its years of glory. The ship is located at Pier 45 in Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco. The ship makes several cruises in the San Francisco Bay, and occasionally to further destinations such as San Diego and Seattle. Groups can also join the Overnight Program over the weekends, where they spend the night on the ship and experience the life of some of its soldiers.
