Spread over an area of around 90 acres, Woodland Park is a multipurpose park and recreation space located southwest of Green Lake and north of the Fremont district. It is separated into two parts by Aurora Avenue wherein the Woodland Park Zoo occupies one side. Here you can spot varied species of birds, mammals and a few reptiles and amphibian species. During winters, many exciting events and concerts are usually lined up like the 'Wildlights'. The eastern part of the park, known as the Lower Woodland Park, is an ideal spot for picnics with reservable picnic spaces and barbecue grills.
