La Passe is a quaint village settlement on the northern shores of La Digue in Seychelles. The 35-hectare plantation with local forestation is modelled after French Spice Garden designs of the 18th century for growing rare spice-producing plants in the tropical colonies. A historical monument, the Liberty Monument was unveiled in 2014 to commemorate 38 years of Seychelles' independence from the British. The British-Seychellois artist- Tom Bowers designed the bronze monument of a man and a woman carrying the national flag. The grand edifice is located in Mont Fleuri on the Mahe island. L'Union Estate & Copra Factory

L'Union Estate takes one back in history to the time when coconut farming was the occupation of the inhabitants of the La Digue island. The plantation house that is the central attraction has a rich history and was built in French colonial style complete with a thatched roof. The estate is a historical treasure trove with a museum, turtle exhibit, the oldest cemetery at La Digue, old coconut mills, as well as the oldest plantation in Seychelles. L'Union Estate also contains a tortoise pen that houses some giant tortoises that are endemic to the region. One of Seychelles' most photographed and famous beaches, Anse Source d'Argent, is only accessible by going through the Estate. One can also ride horses on this pristine and spectacular beach, for an extra fee, which is sure to realize your dreams of going horseback riding on one of the world's most coveted beaches. L'Union estate also holds the biggest granite boulder which covers an acre of land and is truly a sight to behold. Mission Lodge is one of the most significant landmarks of Mahe Island, Seychelles. The viewing spot and the adjoining ruins have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its significant contribution in the eradication of slavery in the region. It has also been declared a National Monument since 1984 due to its significant contribution in educating freed slave children in the 17th century. This effort by the missionaries eventually led to important contributions of the freed African slave-children who formed an important part in the formation of the Creole Seychellois community of today. You can see the mountains covered in lush greenery and the blue sea encompassing the island once you reach this 405 meters high vantage point located in its southern part. You can find the road leading to it just off the trail to Morne Seychellois Peak, the highest point in Mahe. Morne Seychellois National Park is located on Mahe island in Seychelles. Covering an expansive area of 3045 hectares, it comprises more than 20% of the entire island. The park consists of dense mountainous forests and endemic birds like Seychelles bulbul, Seychelles swiftlet, Seychelles Scops-owl, Seychelles blue pigeon and Seychelles sunbird. Moyenne Island is situated 4.5 kilometres off the north coast of Mahe, Seychelles. Located in Ste Anne Marine National Park, it is spread over an area of just 0.038 square miles. The best way to enjoy your time on the island is just to stroll around and watch the giant tortoises roaming freely all over. The highlight of the island is snorkelling and these 120 Aldabra giant tortoises. It also has a lovely beach to relax and unwind. The island has a whopping number of 16000 trees. Being rich in flora and fauna, the underwater life of the island is equally amazing including sharks and rays. An uphill walk on the island will lead you to a small chapel. Here you'll find some graves along with 2 unidentified graves believed to be that of pirates. If you want to know more about the island, watch the video being played in the small history room.
