Jubbal Palace
Set on a 4-acre land at 7,000 feet above sea level, Jubbal Palace in the town of Jubbal is one of the most famous attractions in Shimla. Also called the Woodville Palace Hotel, the structure is an architectural wonder designed by a French architect and is made of sandstone and deodar wood. Set amidst pine and cedar trees and built in a Chinese-Indian-European style of architecture, the exterior walls feature intricate carvings while the inside features extensive woodwork and carved bordered facades. The top of the Peak, which is at a distance of 8km from the base Khatol and at an altitude of 9,400 feet, provides marvelous views of the green Shimla countryside and the distant snow-clad Himalayan ranges.
