Although not advertised, this is one of the most enjoyable activities in Sohar! If you have the time, it is a worthy trip to the desert to watch the camel races. It is best to hire a guide so that you will know when a race will take place and be there for the experience. It is a once in a lifetime sight, being surrounded by spectators and seeing racers dressed in traditional clothes on camels!

Fish Market, Sohar
