Prachi Tirth
Prachi Tirth is a religious centre important for performing the sacred rituals for the ancestors. According to a legend, Lord Krishna, who was a descendant of the Yaduvansh, performed rituals at the tirth for his ancestors. Religiously, Prachi tirth is considered just as important as Kashi for the Hindu ceremonies.
Shashibhushan Mahadev and Bhidbhanjan Ganpatiji Temple
Located about 4km away from the city on the highway along the beautiful sea shore. Bhidbhanjan is the savior form of Ganesha and is worshipped here along with Shiva.
Somnath Beach
Along with the world-famous Somnath Temple, the Somnath Beach also forms an essential part of the itinerary of a tourist visiting Gujarat. Somnath Jytorilinga Temple
The Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple is first of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. It is located on the western coast of Gujarat and is one of the oldest temples of the country. It has been mentioned in ancient texts like Shreemad Bhagavat Gita, Skandpuran, Shivpuran and Rig-Veda which signifies the importance of this temple as one of the most celebrated pilgrimage sites. The temple is located on the ancient Triveni Sangam or the confluence of three rivers - Kapila, Hiran, and Saraswati.
The temple is known as an eternal shrine owing to its perseverance against the test of time. It has withstood several destructions in the past and still has not lost its beauty. It is said that the temple was looted and destroyed as many as seventeen times by emperors like Mahmud Ghazni, Alauddin Khilji, and Aurangzeb. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the force behind the revival and reconstruction of the present-day temple in 1951 which still serves as a notable edifice of the original Somnath Temple. It attracts millions of devotees all throughout the year.

Suraj Mandir
Suraj Mandir too is situated near the Triveni Ghats and is one of the few temples dedicated to the Sun God. There are depictions of elephants, lions and various other birds and animals in the temple.
This is one of the rare holy sites dedicated to the spirits of nature which are praised in the Hindu heritage and religion.
Triveni Sangam Temple
The confluence of the three rivers Hiran, Kapila and Saraswati this is the point where the rivers meet the mighty Arabian Sea. Triveni Sangam is believed to be a very sacred Moksha Tirtha for Hindus.
People believe that a dip in the river at this holy ghat cleanses the body and spirit of all sins committed in his life. The Laxminarayan and Gita Temple are located on the shores of the ghats.
