Alexandre Yersin Museum

This small museum celebrates the life of French bacteriologist Dr. Alexandre Yersin. The museum was founded in 1999 and is located within his former home in Nha Trang. Yersin discovered the microbe that caused the Bubonic plague and was instrumental in bringing rubber and quinine medicine to the Vietnamese. The photographs, letters, laboratory equipment, and dioramas offer a fascinating glimpse into his life.

Ba Ho Waterfalls

Ba Ho Falls is a group of three waterfalls popular for cliff jumping. The bottom falls is the most crowded but easiest to reach by a half-hour trek through the lush green jungle. The other two waterfalls have a harder climb. Located at an hour's drive from Nha Trang, the scenic waterfalls also have a panoramic view of the surrounding. The serene pools bubbling at the end of the Ba Ho waterfalls are perfect for plunging into and relaxing.

Binh Ba Island

Located about 60 km from Nha Trang in Khan Hao province, Binh Ba island offers a peaceful getaway with just the sun, sand and sea to keep you company. Binh Ba is great for picnicking, snorkelling and sunbathing. A speciality you should not miss out on is the big and delicious lobster preparation.

Doc Let Beach

The 18km long beach north of Nha Trang is perfect for lazy beach bums looking for a place to chill. Powdery white sands and turquoise waters welcome you to take a leisurely walk, while refreshment stalls line the shores to provide you with fuel. The shallow waters at the edge ensure that children can safely splash around.

Hon Ba Nature Reserve

Hon Chong Promontory

Located at the foot of La San Hill, Hon Chong Promontory is a scenic collection of boulders imbued with a local legend. A lovely mountainous coastline is the first thing you see at Hon Chong Promontory. The large boulder on top is believed to bear the handprint of a giant who slipped when a fairy saw him. Nearby is a cafe serving delicious refreshments.

Hon Mieu Aquarium

Located on Hon Hieu island a few kms southeast from Nha Trang, the Hon Hieu aquarium is unlike any other you would have ever seen. The aquarium acts as a breeding farm for over 40 species of fish, crustaceans, turtles and other marine animals. Built by Le Can in 1971, the aquarium provides adequate circulation of water to keep the animals in a healthy environment.

Hon Mieu Island

Often called the best inshore island in Nha Trang Bay, Hon Mieu island offers a little taste of paradise to anyone who comes visiting. For those looking to spend a lazy afternoon, the beach has clear white sands lined with sunbeds and umbrellas. Take a dip into the calm blue waters, or have a bit of fun jet skiing and paragliding.

Hon Mun Island

Hon Mun island offers stunning scenery and exotic marine life in one place. Situated to the south of Nha Trang bay, it has high-rise cliffs with caves and grottoes while ebony black stones line the beach. You can snorkel, sea-walk or ride on a glass-bottom boat to witness bright coral and fishes.
