Academia Gallery
The Grand Museum of Venetian masters, Academia Gallery is located in Dorsoduro, on the south bank of the Grand Canal, alongside Academia Bridge. It is a collection of Venetian art from the 14th to 18th century including works of Bellini, Tintorretto and Titan.
Includes works of great artists like . Some of the famous works on display is Veronese's 'Feast in the House of Levi' which was intended to be 'The Last Supper' but was changed during the inquisition.

Bridge of sighs
Near St. Mark's Square and a romantic spot, the Bridge of Sighs is a beautiful old bridge connecting the new prison to the interrogation rooms in Doge Palace. This bridge offered prisoners their last view of freedom before their last judgement.
Now it is a place to take a great photograph if you're in Venice and couples can often be seen taking pictures there and drawing sighs much like the prisoners of yore.
Ca'Rezzonico
Ca'Rezzonico is an aristocratic mansion turned into a museum. It is located in the Dorsoduro district of Venice and is constructed in Venetian baroque style. It is a publics museum featuring paintings from famous Venetian painter like Francesco Guardi and Giambattista Tiepolo.
This is the mansion where Robert Browning died so this is one for the literary history enthusiasts.

Murano
About 1.5 km away from Venice, is a group of seven islands, Murano, which are linked by beautiful bridges and canals. It is famous for glassblowing, which is one of the arts of Venice. The islands modern day cafes lined along the seaside make a perfect backdrop for pictures.

Burano is an island in the Venetian Lagoon, at a distance of 7 km from Venice. It is well-known for its vividly coloured houses and world-class lacework. The beautiful hues of the houses mirrored by the crystal waters make this a remarkably photogenic place.

A request must be sent to the government if someone feels like repainting their house; only a certain number of colours are allowed for each area. Ca' d'Oro
The Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca' d'Oro is an art museum situated in Ca' d'Oro on the Grand Canal in Venice. It translates to 'Golden House' owing to the once intricately gilded golden exteriors. The thin gold layer has faded, but the marble underneath still shines brilliantly.
The Galleria was built in the 15th century in an elegant Gothic style. Owned by Baron Giorgio Franchetti when he purchased and restored the building in 1890, it was upon his wish that it was converted into a museum. Most of the artwork and sculptures here were all property of the baron and were donated by him to the state. Andrea Magnetta’s famous San Sebastiano and other wonderful bronze statues and sculptures are on display today. The museum offers a gorgeous view of the Grand Canal framed by its Goth-style windows. The museum is reachable by water buses and gondolas.
