Amirthi Zoological Waterfalls
Amirthi Zoological Waterfalls are situated in the premises of Amirthi Zoological Park in Vellore near Yelagiri. The place is enchanting to look at, owing to the natural beauty and clear water cascading from a height. The waterfalls can be reached through a trek of 1.5 kms.
Government Herbal Farm
Government Herbal Park is another attraction in Yelagiri which attracts a lot of tourists. Situated close to the Puganoor lake, the park boasts of acres of land area where several medicinal herbs and plants are grown. These plants are used for making Ayurvedic medicines. The park is one of the top tourist attraction of the place.
Jalagamparai Falls
The Jalagamparai Waterfalls is the main attraction in Yelagiri, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu. The Attaru river flows through the pleasant hill station of Yelagiri and breaks into a beautiful fall from the mountain rocks. The misty weather, combined with the scent of orchards and rose gardens in the area, makes for a scenic adventure. Trekking to the waterfall through a 5 km trek may seem intensive but is well worth it.
The water is said to have medicinal properties as the falls flow through areas where rich, indigenous herbs are grown. The fall dries up in the summer and is best seen around November and December. Local guides are also available.

Moksha Vimochana Temple
A quite famous temple in the area is the Moksha Vimochana Temple. Located close to Nilavoor Lake, the temple Is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Moksha Vimochana literally means to attain moksha, or nirvana.
It is believed that if a devotee continuously prays at the temple for 42 days, he frees himself of all his past sins.
Murugan Temple
Located on one of the highest peaks of the Yelagiri Hills, the Murugan Temple is among the most visited tourist places in Yelagiri. It is dedicated to Lord Murugan. Its location on the top of the hill gives the tourist a mesmerising view of the green valleys of Yelagiri.
Constructed in 1964, the temple's highlight is the statue of Lord Murugan and Valli in the form of Kuravan and Kurathi. Apart from Lord Murugan, there is a separate shrine for Lord Ganesha within the temple. Temple bells are placed at the top of the mountain. There is also a humongous statue of the mythological character, Ghatothgajan in the standing position, at the temple.

Yelagiri's most popular hill and one of the most breath taking as well, the Swami Malai Hill is the highest point of the hill station. A 3 km trek from the Punganoor lake will take you to the hill top.
