Coney Island Beach, Brooklyn
Coney Island is the quintessential ‘Classic American’ beach located in Brooklyn and rightly finds itself near the top of the list of New York’s best beaches.
Every summer, its 3 sandy miles are thronged by locals and tourists alike, coming for the myriad activities and entertainment it provides as well as to enjoy the sun and sand. The official season starts in late May and ends in September on Labour day. In addition to the beach, Coney Island’s famous amusement park draws thousands of visitors everyday. Conservatory Garden
The Conservatory Garden is an English style garden located in the northeastern part of the famous Central Park in New York City. You can reach it through the Vanderbilt Gate at Fifth Avenue. It is the only formal garden in New York and has over six acres of flora.
The Conservatory Garden is divided into three sections. The north section has the renowned Three Dancing Maidens fountain. The central garden is known for its violets. The south section has the Burnett fountain that is inspired by the children's novel The Secret Garden. The Museum of the City of New York is a two-minute walk from here.The garden is considered to be a quiet zone so it's best suited to visit alone or with a partner. Dogs are allowed but they must be leashed at all times so that they don’t dig or ruin the plants.

Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum
Nestled in the Museum mile of Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum is part of Smithsonian Institution. It is the only museum of the country representing contemporary and historical design sourced through nearly 240 years of creativity and design aesthetic.
Founded in 1896, the museum collection has more than 210000 objects ranging from the ancient Egyptian textiles and ceramics to digital code and 3D printed contemporary objects. The highlights of this design museum are lace collection, objects from the Fontainebleau Palace, two fountains donated by Gorge Heam, matchbooks, Soviet Union porcelain and paper designed by Tibor Kalman. Besides, you can explore a plethora of sculpture, architecture, painted architecture, woodwork, decorative arts, costume, pottery, metalwork and musical instruments. The largest paperwork collection in the world by Frederic Church, a painter of Hudson River School is displayed here. One of the first steel chairs created by Peter Cooper and the chair used during the visit to Cooper Union by Abraham Lincoln are also notable.

Cooper’s Beach, Southampton
It is one of the best beaches in New York City for family groups and surfers.
It's famous for a wide stretch of pristine white sand & pleasant waves ideal for surfing, with the view of mansions in the back. The crowd peaks during the summer. For parking, you will either need a day pass ( for $50) or a resident permit. There are multiple food stalls right at the beach (Herni's Cafe & Cooper's Cafe being the best among them) & also many other restaurants within walking distance. There are rental umbrellas($15) and chair($10) services available, as well as bathrooms and outdoor showers right at the beach. Lifeguards are present during the day time( up to 5 pm).

An hour’s drive north from New York City, Croton Point Park is situated in the small village of Croton-on-Hudson. Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park
About 14 miles from New York City, the family-owned Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park from Coney Island overlooks the Coney Island beach, Riegelmann Boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean. Opened in 1920, the main attraction and a designated landmark is the Wonder Wheel standing 150 feet tall. Go for the stationary white car or the swinging blue and red cars to whirl on the Wonder Wheel and marvel at the Manhattan skyline.
The other four adult rides include Spook-A-Rama, Thunderbolt, Bumper Cars and Stop the Zombies, where the last three have height requirements. There are sixteen kiddie rides namely Samba, Pony Carts, Rio Grande Train etc with respective height requirements. Featured in many movies, television series and advertisements, the park has free admission and offers credits for each adult and kiddie ride. Grab a bite at Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, Famous Familigia Pizzeria, Deno’s Snack Bar or Old Fashioned Sweet Shoppe. From 26th June till 4th September, every Friday, there is a fireworks show.
